Vetted invitee list

No tire-kickers, no recruiters posing as founders, no agency reps. Every guest is reviewed by our member-advisor panel before a confirmation lands in their inbox.

02

Programmed not pitched

Our agenda is built around outcomes — capital, hires, GTM partnerships — not vendor demos. Sponsors get visibility, never speaking-time-for-payment.

03

Operator-led production

Priya Iyer Khanna and her team have shipped product at Stripe and Razorpay. We treat events as a product, with sprints, retros, and NPS scoring after every gathering.

04

Two-coast continuity

Our operating team works in San Mateo and Bangalore. That means same-week introductions on both sides of the Pacific, not the typical follow-up-in-three-weeks dance.

Our Story

Built by an operator who got tired of bad conferences.

CAIF Events started in late 2019 as a Friday-night dinner at a friend's loft in Pacific Heights. Priya Iyer Khanna had spent six years at Stripe and Razorpay — three on each side of the Pacific — and was sick of the same observation: every "India-USA" panel she attended was either a government-stage trade-show vibe or a recruiting funnel for somebody's outsourcing firm. The deals she actually saw close happened over dinner, off-record, with people who had operated.

That first dinner had fourteen seats and a single rule: no slides, no recruiters, no one selling. We talked about hiring senior engineers in Bangalore at Bay Area cap, the politics of dual-incorporation, what an India go-to-market actually looks like for a B2B SaaS company. By Sunday morning, three of the fourteen had committed paid pilots with each other. We've been running with that model ever since.

Today CAIF Events is a registered California LLC operating from offices in San Mateo and a satellite team in Bangalore's Indiranagar district. We sell tickets, we sell sponsorships, we sell fellowship seats — and we run a tight operation with NPS targets, member-renewal targets, and revenue per cohort that I'd happily put in front of any investor we host.

Our values are practical: vet the room, respect the ticket price, ship the agenda you promised. We are an operator-built private events business, full stop. Not a chamber, not a government program, not a trade association. Just a private LLC that produces high-signal gatherings — and the price you pay shows up directly in who you sit next to, the food on the table, and the substance of the conversation.

★★★★★

"I went to Bridge Summit 2025 mid-Series-A expecting another networking thing and walked out with a term sheet from a fund I'd never have introduced myself to cold. The 1:1 matchmaking algorithm is the only one I've used at a conference that actually delivered second meetings — not just polite handshakes. CAIF earned its ticket price ten times over."

"We sponsored the Bridge Summit at the Gold tier in 2024 and it was the highest-ROI marketing line item my team ran that year. Priya's team is operationally tight — every commitment landed, every promised intro was delivered, and the post-event reporting was the most honest sponsor data I've seen at any event we've backed."

Aishwarya Menon VP Partnerships at fintech firm · San Francisco, CA
★★★★★

"My corporate development team uses CAIF events as a structured way to source India-side acquisition targets. I joined the spring trade mission in 2025 — fourteen meetings inside a week, three of them turned into active diligence by Q3. There is no other private events outfit on the West Coast who can put that calendar together."

Common Questions

Before you reserve a seat — answers to what we get asked most.

If you don't see your question below, email events@caindiaforum.net and a real human on the operations team will respond — typically inside four business hours during the PST workweek.

No. CAIF Events is a registered for-profit California limited liability company (registration #CA-LLC-38291771). We sell tickets, sponsorship packages, and fellowship seats. We are not a trade association. The price you pay funds the venue, the catering, the speaker honoraria, and the operations team — full stop.

Full refunds available up to 30 days before the event date. Between 30 and 14 days before, we offer a 50% refund or full credit toward another CAIF event in the same calendar year. Inside 14 days the ticket converts to a non-refundable credit. Trade mission deposits follow a separate schedule due to vendor pre-payments — see Terms of Service for the full breakdown.

Yes, with a one-time written notice to events@caindiaforum.net at least 48 hours before the event. The new attendee passes the same vetting as the original ticket-holder. Transfers between firms are permitted; transfers to recruiters or vendors who do not match our member profile are not.

We review every applicant against three filters: (1) operating role at a venture-backed or revenue-generating company, (2) two-sided California-India relevance to the topic, and (3) member-advisor sign-off. Roughly 60% of dinner applications are accepted. Founders previously at our events route through a fast-track lane; new applicants typically hear back within four business days.

Absolutely. Tickets and sponsorships can be invoiced to your AP team on Net-30 terms with PO. Provide a billing email and PO number in the registration notes field and our finance team will reach out within one business day to process your firm's onboarding.

Three full days of programming, breakfast and lunch on all three days, two ticketed evening receptions, access to our 1:1 matchmaking software, the printed event program, and post-event session recordings. Lodging is not included — we negotiate a discounted rate at the host venue and email the booking code with your confirmation.

Each delegation is capped at 18–24 California operators. We pre-book company visits across the host cities (typically Bangalore + Mumbai), arrange a government meeting through our Karnataka or Maharashtra IT cabinet contacts, host a closing press dinner, and provide a single point of contact on the ground for logistics. Travel to India and lodging are billed separately — we send a recommended itinerary and discounted lodging codes 90 days before departure.

Yes — that's our preferred sponsorship model. Email sponsors@caindiaforum.net with a brief note about your firm's positioning and we will send the annual partnership deck. Annual partnerships start at $15,000 (Speaker Series presenting partner) and scale to $75,000 (Bridge Summit presenting sponsor with founder-dinner co-host slots).

Bridge Summit 2026 is filling. Lock your seat before the first hold-list opens.

The flagship sells out roughly four months before October. Founder dinners run on rolling waitlists. Don't email us next September — pick the event, send the form, and lock the seat now.

1. What We Collect

We collect personal information that you provide directly to us through the registration form, sponsorship inquiry email, fellowship application, or any voluntary communication with our team. The categories of information we may collect include:

  • Contact identifiers: full name, work email address, phone number, employer name, role title, business address.
  • Event registration data: event selected, ticket quantity, dietary or accessibility needs, billing references, payment processor confirmation IDs (we do not store card numbers — payments run on our processor, Stripe).
  • Application data: fellowship applications include short-form essay responses, links to portfolio companies, and references provided by the applicant.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, and timestamps captured automatically when you load caindiaforum.net.
  • Cookie data: a small caif_cookie_consent value stored in your browser's localStorage to remember your cookie preference, plus first-party analytics cookies if you accept them.

2. How We Use What We Collect

We use the information you provide for the following operational purposes only:

  • To process your event registration, issue tickets, and send confirmation and payment-link emails.
  • To run our 1:1 matchmaking software at Bridge Summit and similar large-format gatherings.
  • To respond to sponsorship, press, fellowship, or general inquiries you submit.
  • To send transactional emails about events you have registered for, including pre-event logistics and post-event follow-ups.
  • To send occasional event-calendar updates, but only to addresses that have opted in. You can opt out at any time from any such email or by writing privacy@caindiaforum.net.
  • To improve the operational quality of our events through aggregate analytics and post-event NPS surveys.
  • To comply with our legal, accounting, and tax obligations as a California limited liability company.

3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

caindiaforum.net uses cookies and similar browser-based storage technologies. The first time you visit, you will see a cookie consent banner. Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key caif_cookie_consent. You may revoke or change your consent at any time by clearing your browser data for caindiaforum.net or by emailing privacy@caindiaforum.net.

Cookie categories we use

  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the site to function (e.g., remembering your cookie preference).
  • Analytics cookies — first-party measurement of which pages convert into registrations. Disabled until you accept.
  • Performance cookies — used to detect javascript errors and form-submit failures so we can fix them.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or session-recording tools on caindiaforum.net.

4. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only with the following categories of third parties, and only as strictly required to deliver the event you registered for:

  • Payment processor (Stripe Inc.) — processes ticket and sponsorship payments. Stripe receives the minimum information needed to charge you and confirm the transaction. We never store card numbers on caindiaforum.net infrastructure.
  • Email service provider — sends our transactional confirmation emails. Delivers your name and email only.
  • Venue partners — for in-person events, we share an attendee badge list (name, employer, role) with the venue 48 hours before the event for security check-in only.
  • Sponsors — sponsors receive an aggregate, anonymized list of attendee firm types and roles. Individual attendee contact data is shared only if you explicitly opt in via a check-box at the registration desk.
  • Legal authorities — when required by valid subpoena, court order, or applicable law.

5. GDPR Rights (Visitors from the European Economic Area)

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights regarding your personal data, as granted by the General Data Protection Regulation:

  • Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure — request that we delete your personal data, subject to our tax and accounting obligations.
  • Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data.
  • Right to data portability — request a machine-readable copy of your data for transfer to another controller.
  • Right to object — object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
  • Right to withdraw consent — at any time, where we rely on your consent.

To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@caindiaforum.net. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

6. CCPA Rights (California Consumers)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), grants you the following rights:

  • Right to know — what personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and any third parties with whom we have shared it in the prior twelve months.
  • Right to delete — request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing — CAIF Events does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing to opt out of, but the right is preserved.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect sensitive personal information beyond what registration requires.
  • Right to non-discrimination — exercising your CCPA rights will never result in different pricing or refused service.

To submit a CCPA request, email privacy@caindiaforum.net with the subject line "CCPA Request" and we will verify your identity and respond within the statutory timeframe.

7. Event Registration Data — Specific Notes

Event registration data is the most sensitive category of personal information we handle. We treat it with the following specific commitments:

  • Registration data is retained for seven years after the event date for tax and accounting compliance, then permanently deleted.
  • Dietary and accessibility needs are shared only with the venue catering and ops teams, on a need-to-know basis, and discarded after the event.
  • Photography and video captured at events may include attendees in the audience. By attending, you grant CAIF Events a non-exclusive license to use such imagery for post-event recap content. You may opt out by emailing privacy@caindiaforum.net before the event date.
  • Press passes carry a separate data agreement that limits the press attendee's ability to record or publish identifying details about other attendees without consent.

8. Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include encrypted database storage, principle-of-least-privilege access controls for our staff, and yearly security reviews of our infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure; if we discover a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you per applicable law.

9. Children's Privacy

caindiaforum.net is a business website intended for professional adult audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact privacy@caindiaforum.net so we can delete it.

10. International Transfers

CAIF Events is headquartered in the United States. If you are accessing caindiaforum.net or registering for an event from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States. By using our services, you consent to that transfer.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "effective date" at the top of this section will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via an email to registered attendees and a banner notice on caindiaforum.net for at least 14 days.

12. Contacting Us about Privacy

Terms of Service

Effective date: April 28, 2026 · Governed by the laws of the State of California, USA · Issued by CAIF Events LLC for the domain caindiaforum.net

These terms of service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between CAIF Events LLC ("CAIF Events", "we", "our", "us") and you ("you", "your", "User") regarding your use of caindiaforum.net (the "Site"), our event registration process, and your attendance at any CAIF Events program. By using the Site, registering for an event, attending a CAIF Events gathering, or sponsoring a CAIF Events program, you accept these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use caindiaforum.net or to register for any CAIF Events program. By submitting a registration, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements and that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete.

2. Tickets, Sponsorships, and Fellowship Fees

All tickets, sponsorship packages, and fellowship cohort fees published on caindiaforum.net are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) and are exclusive of any applicable taxes unless explicitly noted. Prices may change at any time; the price applicable to your purchase is the price displayed at the moment your registration is confirmed by our system.

Refund schedule

  • More than 30 days before the event: 100% refund, less any payment processor fees.
  • 14 to 30 days before the event: 50% refund or 100% credit toward another CAIF Events program in the same calendar year.
  • Less than 14 days before the event: tickets convert to a non-refundable credit valid for 12 months.
  • Trade mission deposits follow a separate refund schedule due to vendor pre-payments — see the trade mission booking confirmation for the city-specific schedule.
  • Sponsorship agreements are governed by the standalone sponsorship agreement signed at the time of contract execution; this Site refund schedule does not override that agreement.

3. Transfers and No-Show

Tickets are transferable to another individual at the same firm with at least 48 hours' written notice to events@caindiaforum.net and subject to CAIF Events' standard vetting. No-show on the event date does not generate any refund. Substitutions on the day of the event require approval from CAIF Events operations staff.

4. User Obligations and Acceptable Use

By registering for any CAIF Events program or using caindiaforum.net, you agree that you will:

  • Use the Site and any CAIF Events service only for lawful purposes consistent with these Terms.
  • Provide truthful, accurate, and complete information at registration and update it promptly if it changes.
  • Not represent yourself as someone else or attempt to register on behalf of an individual without their explicit consent.
  • Behave professionally at every CAIF Events gathering. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy on harassment, intimidation, and discriminatory conduct. Violation results in removal from the venue without refund and a permanent ban from future CAIF Events programs.
  • Respect the confidentiality of off-record sessions. Many of our gatherings — especially founder dinners and the LP/GP track at Bridge Summit — operate under Chatham House rule. You agree not to attribute, publish, or share specific quotes or statements made by other attendees without their explicit consent.
  • Not record audio, video, or imagery at events without prior written consent from CAIF Events operations and the consent of all directly identifiable attendees.

5. Intellectual Property

The "CAIF Events" name and logo are trademarks of CAIF Events LLC.

You may view, download, and print content from caindiaforum.net for your personal, non-commercial reference only. Any other use — including reproduction, modification, distribution, transmission, republication, public display, or commercial use of any portion of the Site — requires prior written permission from CAIF Events.

By submitting any content to CAIF Events (registration data, fellowship application essays, post-event NPS feedback), you grant CAIF Events a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use that content in anonymized aggregate form for operational and marketing purposes, including post-event recaps and case studies.

6. Photography and Audio/Video Recording at Events

CAIF Events captures photography and audio/video recordings at most large-format events for legitimate event-marketing purposes. By attending, you acknowledge and consent that you may appear in such recordings and grant CAIF Events a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use that imagery in event recaps, sizzle reels, sponsor reports, and Site content. To opt out, email privacy@caindiaforum.net before the event date — we will provide an opt-out badge color so our photographers know not to capture you.

The total cumulative liability of CAIF Events to any single user, for all claims arising from or related to caindiaforum.net or any CAIF Events program, shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to CAIF Events in the twelve months preceding the claim.
